Our new research technician Giulia Barini, joined the lab to work on a BBSRC-funded project analysing FOXO transcriptional complexes during ageing. Giulia has recently graduated from University of Sheffield with an MSc in Translational Neuroscience. Her research project was hosted by Dr Ryan West studying the spread of pathological-relevant length dipeptide repeat proteins in a novel Drosophila model of C9ORF72-related Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Frontotemporal Dementia.
